Update – December 12, 2012:
Great news! We have another success story! This boy has been adopted. He found a wonderful home on a 200-acre ranch in Texas with someone with breed experience, living with some other Boerboels. His adopter picked him up on Sunday afternoon, and he is already fitting in with their pack! I couldn’t be happier.

November 25, 2012:
We have an 11-month old, purebred fawn male Boerboel that is looking for a new adult home. This boy is dominant, so his current family thinks he would do best in an adult home or with a single person who is looking for a dog to train and/or work. He is currently 11 months old, and will turn one year old at the end of December.
This boy is very obedient, seems to love to work and please his master, and has been easy to train. His current owner can take him on walks off leash, and he listens to off leash commands, including stay. He is neutral and uninterested in other dogs out on walks. He seems to be good with dogs, and lives with some other large dogs.
Thank you, I’ve just been searching for info approximately this topic for a while and yours is the best I’ve found out till now.

I am not sure what happened to Bella Donna She was available for about a month, and then her contact quit responding to communication. I am hoping that she was adopted, and we just did not hear back.

I’m very pleased to see that you are still out here helping these dogs Sharon, the breed needs more people like you!
Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Jerry! That means a lot, especially coming from you. We try our best. We have been able to help a few Boerboels this year, and all of them are in really nice homes.

Hi Rob,
Sorry for the late reply. Can I keep you in mind for some other BB’s that we have coming up for rescue? A potential adopter was visiting this boy on Sunday around the same time we received your inquiry, and she took him home to her 200-acre ranch with some other Boerboels. As you can see, it looks like he hit the Mother Lode in terms of a nice home with lots of room to run and other Boerboels to play with.
We have other Boerboels coming into rescue. 😦 The nice ones get scooped pretty quickly, so be sure to stop back often.
